We are nearly at the end of the first decade of the New Millennium and much has occurred.  Last year alone we saw the economic meltdown that shook (and continues to shake global financial markets). Major investment banking houses shrugged and a few were pulverized; the stock market lost trillions; gas prices soared to dizzying levels of greed never experienced before, and just as suddenly deflated to saner rates; Detroit’s Big 3 were teetering on collapse and looking for a piece of that $700 billion being doled out by TARP; foreclosures and jobless rates grew exponentially; Bernard Madoff was busted for ripping off $50 billion in the biggest ponzi scheme in US history; the Israeli-Palestinian battle-sores ruptured again, as most aware people knew they would; Hurricane Ike assaulted Galveston, Texas and for some unknown reason the story was dropped from TV news coverage altogether as if it had been a school bus accident in some backwater town; and then, of course, there was the historic election of the first mulatto President of the United States of America, Barack Obama.

The year 2008 will be long remembered.   Dr. Carl Calleman stated that 2008 would most likely be the year that something approaching “Armageddon” would occur, according to the Mayan Calendar.  And to millions of people from varying economic levels around the world it did indeed feel as if their world was coming to an end.  Unfortunately, the end of the year is not a dead-stop for painful circumstances, and the befuddling dynamics that caught many people unawares will most certainly stagger blindly and obnoxiously into the following year, giving little indication when or if these unpleasant times will ever find resolution.

November 13, 2008 began the Sixth Day of the Mayan Calendar Galactic Cycle, having traversed the Fifth Night, leaving us stupefied as history sucker punched us without pity or compassion.  We watched in awe and disbelief as stodgy monuments to capitalism crumbled before our very eyes, shaking off the superfluous.

The Sixth Day will continue until November 2009 when it will descend into the Sixth Night.  It is said that this current phase will be a “positive time” for humanity as a whole, a reliving of sorts of the 1960s, compressed within the span of a year.  Remember, Time is speeding up and will continue to increase until we reach 2012.  Your clocks will continue to tick at their prescribed rate, the sun will rise and fall according to the seasons.  What is meant here about time speeding up is that what took 10 years to occur in the past will only take a single year during this Mayan Calendar phase.  I went through the 60s and not all of it was LSD, free love, and flower power.

Which brings up a question: Are today’s troubles worse than before?   The short answer: No.  We’re better connected and people can no longer avoid or deny the obvious, not when the whole world is seeing the same thing.   That there are those in denial is one thing. But a great deal of us can plainly see that the Emperor is wearing no clothes.   It is unequivocally a time for change; it’s a time for re-thinking priorities, a time for introspection and restructuring, a time for re-tooling and reassessing.  It is truly a time for drastic modification.

On that note, this Google video, fleshes out the notion of time cycles in a thoughtful and academic presentation.  Might be too slow for some, but for the seasoned student of 2012 it will underscore many things already acknowledged, and then some.  The focus is very much in physical reality and the possible outcomes are very hairy indeed.

UrbanSurvival.com suggests that we are in the mist of morphing into a new global paradigm; the old construct slowly fading into the past.  This reminded me of the themes addressed in the Handbook for the New Paradign series. The folks at Urban Survival interpret their information through the Web Bot Project, originally designed to help the financial sector make better than average investment decisions, when such things were still possible. The Project dates back to the 1990s and has made some startling predictions over the years.  The earliest and most profound would have to be their foresight into the 9/11 attacks three months before they happened.

Without specifying any place in particular, not even the obvious ones, the Time Monks at the Web Bot Project see 2009 as a lean year with food shortages and outright starvation and famine settling in; an overall decrease in resources.  But perhaps the most alarming prediction is their view of a coming "Global Coastal Event" that will bring immutable loss to low lying coastal areas around the globe.  They do not specify which areas will be hit the hardest but, according to their data, one continent in particular will receive more damage than other locations.

Many of the predictions and sites from last year will remain on this page because what they forecast  is ongoing and will pick up speed as the transcendent year of 2012 nears.  One has to judge what has happened with what is currently happening to make any sense of what's going on, and to surmise where it might possibly lead.

Past Predictions:

Horizontal Divider 1

  • The National Center for Atmospheric Research predicts that the next solar storms will bring severe disruptions in communication technology and impact our world in adverse ways.  The upcoming cycle is expected to begin in late 2007 or early 2008, and reach its peak in 2012. Read full article here.

  • The 2012 Enigma is a video lecture given by David Wilcock who has a remarkable resemblance to Edgar Cayce and, in fact, is said to be the reincarnation of the famed seer.  His website has additional information for people who want to know what awaits us in the very near future.

  • George Green is a fascinating individual with an equally remarkable life.   But what he has to say is even more out of the ordinary.  If you're interested in what the future will bring, you must listen to this guy.  Check out this video.  And click here for Part 1 of an interview with him concerning the current financial mess we're in.  You don't have to believe him, just listen.

  • An acquaintance of George Green is Billy Meier, famed Pleiadian contactee.  What's important here is that Meier claims to have been prophesying for as long as I've been on the planet.  An interesting item I came across is a letter he wrote and sent to world governments in 1951 at the age of 14.  Besides this vision of the future—our current time frame—there are other prophecies he received from his Pleiadian contact, Plejaren Ptaah, that are worth looking at, especially now that we are at the threshold of continuing or falling back.  Although these prophecies sound far more horrendous than what is found in the Book of Revelation, it must be understood that these devastating events need not come to pass.  It is totally up to the human race to alter these nightmares.  Keep in mind that prophetic events are not set in stone. They can be halted, altered, or watered down, depending on the collective mind-frame (consciousness) and actions of the people.

  • Dr. Carl Johan Calleman has written two books on the Mayan Calendar, designating the ancient calendar as the mother of all oracles because of its breath and scope in using "time" as an indicator of what's in store for humanity. Because of its shrouded mystery, not much has been gathered from its encrypted and very convoluted message, until recently.  According to Calleman, October 28, 2011 is the true end-date for the Mayan calendar. In this article he sees a second round of financial turmoil heading our way in late 2009, the knockout blow in a one-two punch.  For an audio interview with him, check out this MP3.  And for an Overview of the Evolution of Consciousness, click here.

  • In keeping with the increased interest in the year 2012 and the Mayan Calendar, The Year 2012 blog continues to add information.  It maintains that current events foreshadow what is coming our way, changing us forever from the inside out, baking our bodies, minds and souls with "cosmic energies" that are bombarding us right now as never before in history.  More like-minded info can be found at 2012 Doomsday Prophecy and Predictions, another blog on what is fast becoming a very popular subject. Also interesting is this video (posted 2003, but still relevant) titled The Doomsday Clock -2012, which goes deep into historical sources as well as modern day Illuminati-Alien connections.  The piece runs over an hour, but worth it.

  • There are a lot of theories about what will happen in 2012, but no one seems to really know with any certainty.  The people at 2012: Dire Gnosis have some interesting information, specifically about what remote viewers have seen beyond 2012, which is nothing.  Fear not; according to the info this just means "if a remote viewer in 1997 cannot see beyond 2012 it is to a large degree because the world(s) beyond 2012 have not been conceived of yet, or we are just perceiving/creating them now… THAT is the nature of the new time."  Make sense? The site is convoluted and bizarre with plenty of information to think about and throw into the kettle with everything else that's out there regarding this milestone year.

  • The people at returnofplanet-x.com say that the monster planet will be making it's first pass through the solar system around 2009, and its second pass in 2012.  Forecasts in general are pretty hairy.  One such prediction: "Expect a swift-moving and decisive (1-3 day) Middle-East nuclear war (mid-2009) between Israel and her threatening neighbors on all sides. It's widely believed that Israel's nuclear arsenal contains both low/high yield weapons (containing both conventional battlefield and missile-based technology.) Naturally, Israel will prevail but her bitter victory will certainly further unite and foment the hatred and resolve of her enemies to destroy the Jewish state once-and-for-all." Their sell site, bookmasters.com, has some interesting graphics and added info.  As things go, if there is any truth to what they say, save your money.  It's so close to the end of the timeline that it really makes no difference, if what they say is true. There isn't a whole lot you can do except hope to get "raptured" at the last moment. Otherwise, we're all just yesterday's news.

  • The Mayan Majix has a list of predictions from an assortment of people, dead and alive. They update regularly and cover a wide range of predictions from around the globe.

  • The Project Avalon forum has a lengthy thread started by Astralwalker that is worth reading if you're interested in what will shortly happen to all living things on Earth, particularly what might occur in 2012.  The guy has done his homework and sounds comfortable living in his own skin without feelings of paranoia taking hold.  A must read.

  • The "Time Wave Zero" theory asserts that the Chinese oracle, the I Ching, has a mathematical termination date on December 21, 2012.  And in this video, Terrence McKenna, father of said theory, explores the subject only as he can.  But, honestly, I think you have to be a radical mathematician/visionary to really understand this as intended.

  • Regarding the above entry concerning the Time Wave Zero theory, a better place for the lay person to begin is with Gregg Braden's easy to read and understand book, Fractal Time: The Secret of 2012 and a New World Age.  Braden does not state what end-time-event will occur, because he really doesn't know. But he has a pretty good notion it will not be a joy ride. All previous world-ages ended in cataclysms.  The last world-age ended in the Great Flood. And this is the importance of his book. It tells you why it happened and why it will happen again.

  • Robert Blast runs the 2012News website that covers just about everything that has to do with this controversial year.  What's interesting about the site is that it focuses on available data with a clear, unbiased slant.  An analytical quality that's hard to find when researching the possibilities of what might occur when December 21, 2012 rolls around.  A good site for the skeptic and level-headed student.

  • At Disclose.tv they have a series of 12 videos that focus on what the Web Bot Project sees coming our way very soon. The timeline covered is October 7, 2008 to March 2009. Much of what they've seen is already underway as can be attested to by watching the news, and much of what they foretell sounds like it's coming straight out of a bad horror movie.  If you'd like to enlighten yourself on what they forecast, check out the videos.

  • The happy crowd over at the Matrix Great Escape blog has a list of visions for 2009 that covers everything from the financial meltdown to World War III.

  • The Climate Prediction Center claims to know what's in store for us when it comes to weather changes.  You have to be something of a meteorologist to understand the maps, but with a little study you should be able to get the hang of it.  Considering that the weather is frequently the main force in a news story, the site can really take you on a number.

  • The Farmer's Almanac wonders if the 2008-2009 winter will magnify our economic woes.  They predict it will be colder and wetter than normal.  Considering the extreme weather changes we've been experiencing, what do they consider to be normal nowadays?  I also wonder how weather forecasters keep a straight face when telling us what the weather will be like in ninety days.

  • Matthew and Suzanne Ward were mother and son until Matthew was killed in a 1980 auto accident.  Fourteen years later he began to telepathically communicate with her.  It's interesting to note that these two souls "planned" their inter-dimensional communications long before either was born.  In the October 2006 message he assures us that "Hillary Clinton will not be elected president in 2008 even though she is a strong Illuminati member."  That was a direct hit.  Here's Matthew's take on "2012."

  • John Hogue, the renowned Nostradamus scholar, will sell you an ebook for $12.50 forcasting predictions for 2009. He gives us 6 free predictions to whet our appetite. One such prediction is: 2009 will be the year that saw the beginning of the end of America as a financial superpower.  For more, check out his site.

  • The abovetopsecret.com forum has a thread that started on May 21, 2008.  It reads like a jazz improv session with many people blowing flat notes.  There are nonetheless some right-on hits, nothing earthshaking, and very much in keeping with some of our own insights that we voice as opinions to others.  What a few have to say about 2009 tallies remarkably well with what some of the professionals have projected.

  • Psychic Christopher Reburn predicted that Hillary Clinton would win the 2008 presidential election.  For 2009, he says "The Stock Market will start to improve more toward the middle of 2009, and we’ll start to see some of the main breadwinners from past years start to get back on top again. Disney, Wal-Mart and IBM seem to be of particular interest with my Guide, so I would watch those specifically for some improvements and possible expansions. A lot of the bigger companies will start to do better and will see much better year-end numbers next year than they will see this year."  On hurricanes: "2009 Hurricane Season there will be 16 named storms for 2009, including around 10 of them actual hurricanes. I do see that the hurricanes will continue to be monster storms and will continue to target The Bahamas, Florida, Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas. In 2009 I do see a major direct hit in Texas as well as in Florida and another one near the New Orleans area."  What are the odds?

  • Exodus2006.com designates 2006 as the beginning of the "time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations" (Daniel 12:1).  In support of this premise, bible codes and scriptural interpretations are used to back this up.  For 2009, he says (according to a bible code he ran in Oct. of 2008), "we will be depressed, in 2009 is the peak"  That pretty much spells it out, right?

  • Conscious Media Network has a host of visionaries who speculate on everything from the Mayan Calendar to settlements on Mars.  It's one of those rare sites that offer more than you expected.  The information is both intelligent and entertaining and most certainly on the fringe.  The interviews are on video.

  • Aaron Russo, successful Hollywood producer/director, might be dead but not forgotten.  He passed away August 24, 2007 of bladder cancer.  This historic video is about things past and yet, curiously, very current.   It's not unusual that this information comes from a once member of the entertainment communityWhat is interesting is the extent to which he presents his views.  This sort of stuff is left to people like David Ickewho swears the Queen of England and her progeny are somehow related to lizards; and Alex Jones, who sounds the horn on everything under the sun, except the Vatican.  These two men are true conspiracy buffs.  But Russo takes it a step further.  He offers alleged firsthand information that came directly from Nick Rockefeller--yes, those Rockerfellers.  His last film production, America: Freedom to Fascism (2006) arrived on the scene with next to nothing by way of publicity, for obvious reasons.  Hats off to him for his display of some very big cojones

  • Alex Jones has a video that was produced less than three months after Barack Obama was elected president.  The Obama Deception is muckraking jounalism at its best.  Watch the video and discern for yourself what may possibly await us all at the hands of the man who is currently at the helm of these United States.

  • The Remote Viewer is a site that deals with the subject as well as other current issues.  It has its appeal, and not because they're vehemently anti-Obama.  In a more public setting there's the RV Community Forum.  These guys teach what shamans have been doing for centuries, without the hallucinogens.  If you want to learn to guesstimate with the best of them, check them out.  An uncanny prediction by Ed Dames made years ago about a killer wheat fungus (Ug99) has come to pass and may bring devestation to world wheat crops threatening starvation to millions.

  • The India Daily site has a classic piece posted December 26, 2004 concerning Tibetan monks remote viewing to the year 2012.  "In world politics something will happen in and around 2010," it says; and, "Between 2010 and 2012, the whole world will get polarized and prepare for the ultimate dooms day."  Click here to read entire piece.

  • TheEnd.com website makes it perfectly clear that 2008 was the year that tribulations would increase since 2001 and will continue beyond 2009 until we're toast.  Ronald Weinland, author of 2008—God’s Final Witness and The Prophesied End-Times, says, as only a true Christian fundamentalist can, that we are heading hell-bent to meet our comeuppance.  You can download  free ebooks from the site. If you’re into religious prophecy you may want to take a look at them.

  • In 2007 T. Chase, architect of the Revelation13.net website offered us his theories about what might happen in the near future.  The one thing that stands out and appears to be a direct hit for 2007 is his belief that an alliance would be formed between Russia, China and Iran, bolstering Iran's chances of acquiring nuclear capabilities sooner than later.  As we know, this has pretty much come to pass.  In early 2009, this has been nearly forgotten, as most 2009 news items are about Obama and the world finacial crises.  At least for now.  Mr. Chase has been working on his theories since 1998.  He has since posted a series of videos that might be of interest to some people.  One such video is about world population reaching 6.66 billion people by 2008.  We can plainly see the symbolic significance here.  His website is extensive.  He speculates sinister things with this other symbolic message: Sept. 9, 2009. 9/9/09 (999). 666 upside-down, possibly a significant date?  We don't have long to wait.  And the way things are going, nothing surprises me anymore.

  •  Armageddon.org tracks world events that they believe are leading toward a biblical climax. They have a lot of cheery stuff concerning nuclear holocaust, devastating tsunamis, earth-asteroid collisions, killer volcanoes, etc.  Very cool site.  Drop by if Armegeddon's your thing.

  • At Tarot.com you can read the astrological assessments of Rick Levine, said to be a cut above your average freebee astrologer.

  • Jonas Roel is an astrologer who began practicing as a young boy and got hooked.  He's a purist when it comes to practicing his craft, insisting on doing his charts the old fashion way rather than relying on computer software.  He has predictions posted for the years 2008-2009, making it easy to see where he hit and missed.

  • The Global Oneness site, which appears to be a multi-denominational/spiritual forum, has a short 2 minute video titled America in Prophecy 2009-2018 that states Obama will make a  major blunder in 2009 that will put us at odds with unnamed foes.  The site also has a plethora of added material to keep you busy.

  • The twoprophets.org site leans heavily toward Christian and Masonic predictions, and seem to favor Catholic teachings as well. Strange brew indeed.  They believe Colin Powell will take the presidency in 2012, and that Obama and Hillery Clinton will do battle with "real" Christians during their term.  The site is focused on the power brokers and their projections are rather gloomy, as might be expected.

  • The Pentagon, as reported on the Guardian Unlimited site, foresees many scary things in our future.  Among them: "Between 2010 and 2020 Europe is hardest hit by climatic change with an average annual temperature drop of 6F. Climate in Britain becomes colder and drier as weather patterns begin to resemble Siberia."   And, "Deaths from war and famine run into the millions until the planet's population is reduced by such an extent the Earth can cope."  Where did they get this information? Remote viewing?

  • Dr. Michael Rathford gives us his take on a timeline that spans 2008 through 2012.  This one is for Armageddon and Revelation aficionados.  In his book titled The Nostradamus Code: World War III, he tells us that, "The Antichrist will take over Iran by using a human decoy to trick the Iranian Ayatollah in power."  And, "A very bright, previously unknown comet will appear and coincide with the time of great geological troubles, with earthquakes and volcanoes erupting and disrupting weather systems. This will cause widespread famines, droughts, and social upheavals in unexpected places. Nations that are considered prosperous and powerful, particularly western nations, will be weakened."  Sounds like real good sci-fi.  The book is eight chapters long and can be purchased in hardcover or digital download.  Chapter Four is a freebie.

  • The Hopi believe, "When the Blue Star Kachina makes its appearance in the heavens, the Fifth World will emerge."  This will be the day of "Purification."  Mitch Battros wonders if this Blue Star could be Comet 17P/Holmes that exploded in a spectacular outburst on October 24, 2007, increasing in size and brightness, continues to expand, and is now the largest single object in the Solar system, being bigger than the Sun.  To make it even more interesting, Comet 17P/Holmes was joined by another comet, 8P/Tuttle, on January 2, 2008.  According to Battros, "the scientific community [is] hitting the books, charts, and historical records to find the patterns of comets, planetary alignments, and supernova's which marked certain triangulation events. In very much the exact same way, the metaphysical community is looking closely at religious and tribal prophecy to triangulate the celestial events in the sky today."  These type of observations tie in very nicely with anything that has to do with prophecy if it's to be understood at all.

  • Robert Camp didn't have anything to say about 2007, or 2008, and so far he doesn't have anything to say about 2009. But his Card of Destiny reading is still interesting, if you're into that kind of stuff. And it's free.

  • On Psychic Fred's  website we are given something between a sermon and a forecast for 2009.  There is a sense of urgency about the message that is seldom found in psychic predictions.

  • Lou Valentino offered predictions in 2007 that ranged from the continuing Iraqi war to possible extraterrestrial contact in 2009.  Perhaps his most important prediction for 2008 was that Hillary Clinton would be a shoo-in to win the presidential election and gave three astrological reasons why this is so.  It was close, but no hit here.  Still, he has some visions for 2009 that look to be right on track.  Then again, who knows?

  • On allnewsweb.com they have their annual predictions for the year, forecasted by their resident town crier, Michael Cohen, who says, "One word to describe 2009: Grim."  For more, check out their site.

  • Some of psychics.co.uk world predictions for 2009 are pretty hairy, but then so are many of the others on this page.  They say there will be an assassination attempt on Obama’s life (which may have already occurred on Oct 9, 2008.)  They also see many of Britain’s top companies biting the dust and, of course, there would be a negative worldwide reaction.  The stock market is a paranoid cat that goes into depression for little or no reason.  They also see Russia going back to a more nostalgic time when socialism reigned supreme, no doubt because of the financial crisis.

  • The mysterious man who writes this blog on world predictions, cites himself as a professional psychic and occultist, gives free advice on the stock market, and my guess he's an East Indian.  In 2007, he stated that "President George Bush will Be Remembered As The Worst President In The American History will Be Responsible For downfall of the american influence."  For 2009, he believes space exploration will make great strides in next ten years, among other things.  He sounds more optimistic this time around, calmer.  Maybe he feels vindicated.

  • For all you capitalist pigs out there who are concerned about our dire times, Barrons.com presents us with a peak into the future through the eyes of some Wall Street mavens.  If they don't know what's going on, no one does.  Might be what you're looking for, if you want to know what money will be up to in the coming months.

  • Similar to the above site, Portfolio.com also endeavors to forecast economic trends.  They augur by analyzing boring data like fortune tellers reading tea leaves.  Their pages report that MBAs are reeling in stupefaction over the financial smackdown of 2008 and that 2009 will continue to be a sour year for the markets.

  • The Economist is the staid masthead of the world's banking institutions, partly owned by such money-larded luminaries as the Rothschilds.  It was founded in 1843, the year Charles Dickens published A Christmas Carol.  These guys really have their ear to the ground.  What they see for 2009 is fairly even-handed.  But they can afford to be even-handed because they really do fly above the storm.

  • The money watchdogs over at Finacial Sense don't see the future through rose colored glasses by any means.  Their vision is rather dreary all around with 6 gloomy predictions that span 2009-2012.  You don't have to be a financial genius to see that these bleak visions are very plausible.

  • Pete Murphy considers himself a self-made economist in "the classical tradition."  What he sees for the world at large for 2009 in not pretty.  His vision is very much in keeping with what others see, be they economists or psychics.  Over population seems to be at the crux of his opinions.

  • The wakeupfromyourslumber.com site has a very clear view of money; its origins and influence in society, though they seem to have no purview of what 2009 will manifest, good or bad.  But they certainly have a definite idea about money and why we're being herded into a stampede.

  • Sylvia Browne needs no introduction.  Her very name brings forth an emotional response from the listener, good or bad, depending on how you feel about her.  I love to be amazed and sometimes she really pulls one off.  Personally, I don't know what to make of her, except that she's better at "reading" people than making predictions.  But here are some of her predictions for 2008-2009 and beyond.  Take them or leave them, she's still considered one of the top rated psychics in the country.   And here's an astrological profile on her by Dr. Turi if you want to know what fuels her.

  • The Amazing Kreskin has two websites, one with 11 pages of 2009 predictions on just about everything you can imagine, from the blatantly absurd to the ridiculously commonsensical.  Kreskin was a regular on TV long before the Internet or cell phones made their entry into our reality.  Just as popular as Silvia Browne and every bit as accurate, he never claimed to be "psychic," preferring to be recognized as "a mentalist" instead.  Unlike most other prognosticators,  he reviews his predictions from the previous year to see how accurate he was, or wasn't.  Take a trip down memory lane and check him out.

  • End of the world prophecies for 2009 can be found at religioustolerance.org.  These folks take the information with a grain of salt.  I love their openmindedness.  Here's a spooky one: "2009-AUG-29 - John Dutchman claims to be an astronomer at the Mount Wilson Observatory. He allegedly believes that a small star is passing through the Oort Cloud, the area surrounding the solar system where comets originate. He says that the gravitational pull of the star is forcing at least a third of all of the comets into the sun -- over one million. He predicts that the earth will be hit by from one to many hundreds of comets, ranging in size from 100 meters to near 600 miles in diameter. He expects the collisions to happen on 2009-AUG-29." Yikes!

  • Jennifer Posada assures us that 2009 will be "a year of realization."  She is most certainly an optimist  in the truest "nature goddess" tradition.  There are no dark clouds in her visions.  "2009 is a year to expect revelations of all kinds," she assures us. "These new gifts of your soul will be revealed, and gifts you already knew about will be empowered and enhanced."  If you're into goddess insights and sensibilities, check her out.

  • Prophecies: A Psychic Prediction Registry is one of many places on the Internet for wannabe psychics to show their stuff.  So if you've had strange, earth-shaking premonitions about the future, this is the place to post them.

  • January 26, 2009 begins the Year of the Ox, according to the Chinese Zodiac. It is said the Ox sign is the sign of prosperity found through fortitude and hard work. Makes sense.

  • On The Psychic Detective site there is one prediction for 2008 that deserves mention here: "I feel that there is a very strong likelihood of Rudolph Giuliani running for and subsequently winning the US presidential election in 2008. Giuliani will begin campaigning in early 2007. Senator John McCain may [be] chosen as Vice President." This one was really off the mark.  The prediction was made November 2006.  Among many predictions for 2009, here are two:  "Food shortages continue, India and China both see rationing of rice and other foods towards the start of 2009."  And, "There may be military action in Ukraine at the start of February 2009."

  • The TruthStar.com site gives you free astrology and numerology readings, as well as free handwriting analysis.  But the "experts" for hire have never made a prediction in public, it's all on a personal level, and much of it is in bulk form.  This is truely a fast-foods soothsayer's website.  So if you're into crystal balls, this is your place.

  • On fourthdimension.net you can have your tarot reading done with the Aleister Crowley tarot cards.  For those unfamiliar with Crowley, he was one of the leading ritual magicians of the 20th century, and reputedly the biological father of Barbara Bush.  And, yes, there is an uncanny resemblance.  If there's any truth to this rumor, it explains much of W's actions.  If it's in the genes, well, he just can't help himself.

  • And if the tarot isn't your thing, maybe you'd like a free I Ching reading instead.  It works the same as the Crowley Tarot.  Just type your question in the field to see what the oracle says.

  • On AstroProfile.com they have their usual free annual forecasts for the 12 zodiac signs.  They're pretty general but a whole lot cheaper than what you'd pay a professional psychic to tell you.

  • At prophecies.us you're encouraged to post your premonitions. Some are rather bleak.  Freestone Wilson says he sees a major earthquake possibly occurring Dec. 12, 2008 to mid-January, 2009, but doesn't say where; coincidently, the Time Monks see the same thing, but pin the vision to the West Coast, or Ring of Fire.  There are a lot of Obama predictions.  Some point to a troubled inauguration while others claim there will be no inauguration, for reasons unknown or stated.

  • Here's one for the scholars and historians, both of ancient and recent history, and history yet to be made.  Mother Shipton died in 1561 and aficionados of prophecy still look to her curious verses for signs of things happening in their time.  Click here for her complete prophecies.

  • For those of you who want to know about apocalyptic prophesies throughout the ages, check out A Brief History of the Apocalypse. According to their extensive list, which careens well into the future, we should have been history a long, long time ago.

  • And, again, last but far from least, for the morbidly curious, evil.berzerker.net will tell you when you're going to clock-out.  Click here to find out when you'll be making your exit.

Pre-Colombian Hopi Prophecies

"Before the time of the great Purification, they will make metal roads for iron horses and hang metal ropes in the air."

"First they will bring back pieces of the Moon which will upset the balance and unleash disastrous forces."

"Near the day of the Great Purification, there will be cobwebs spun back and forth in the sky."

"The Purification will begin shortly after humans build a great house in the sky. By then there will be fires everywhere and greedy, selfish, power-mad leaders, internal wars."

The Nine Signs of Hopi Prophecy
From White Feather, Bear Clan, Hopi Tribe
"These are the Signs that great
destruction is here: The world shall rock
to and fro. The white man will battle people in
other lands -- those who possessed the first
light of wisdom. There will be many columns
of smoke and fire such as the white man has
made in the deserts not far from here. Those
who stay and live in the places of the Hopi
shall be safe. Then there will be much to
rebuild. And soon, very soon afterward,
Pahana will return. He shall bring with him
the dawn of the Fifth World. He shall plant
the seeds of his wisdom in our hearts. Even
now the seeds are being planted. These
shall smooth the way to the Emergence into
the Fifth World."
The Fourth World shall end soon,
and the Fifth World will begin. This the elders
everywhere know. The Signs over many
years have been fulfilled, and so few are
First Sign: We were told of the
coming of the white-skinned men, like
Pahana, but not living like Pahana -- men
who took the land that was not theirs and
who struck their enemies with thunder.
Second Sign: Our lands will see the
coming of spinning wheels filled with voices.
(Covered wagons)
Third Sign: A strange beast like a
buffalo but with great long horns, will overrun
the land in large numbers. (Longhorn cattle)
Fourth Sign: The land will be
crossed by snakes of iron. (Railroad tracks)
Fifth Sign: The land shall be criss-
crossed by a giant spider's web. (Power and
telephone lines)
Sixth Sign: The land shall be criss-
crossed with rivers of stone that make
pictures in the sun. (Concrete roads and
their mirage-producing effects.)
Seventh Sign: You will hear of the
sea turning black, and many living things
dying because of it. (Oil spills)
Eighth Sign: You will see many
youth, who wear their hair long like our
people, come and join the tribal nations, to
learn our ways and wisdom. (Hippies)
Ninth and Last Sign: You will hear of
a dwelling-place in the heavens, above the
earth, that shall fall with a great crash. It will
appear as a blue star. Very soon after this,
the ceremonies of the Hopi people will
"These are the Signs that great
destruction is coming. The world shall
rock to and fro. The white man will battle
against other people in other lands -- with
those who possessed the first light of
wisdom. There will be many columns of
smoke and fire such as White Feather has
seen the white man make in the deserts not
far from here. Only those which come will
cause disease and a great dying.
"Many of my people, understanding the
prophecies, shall be safe. Those who
stay and live in the places of my people also
shall be safe. Then there will be much to
rebuild. And soon -- very soon afterward --
Pahana will return. He shall bring with him
the dawn of the Fifth World. He shall plant
the seeds of his wisdom in their hearts. Even
now the seeds are being planted. These
shall smooth the way to the Emergence into
the Fifth World.
"But White Feather shall not see it. I
am old and dying. You -- perhaps will see it.
In time, in time---"
